About My Practice
Life can be challenging at times, and you don't have to navigate those challenges alone. I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns, from severe mental health conditions to the everyday stresses, transitions, and uncertainties that are part of being human.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based therapy. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that support healing, resilience, and lasting change.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. My goal is to help you move toward greater well-being, deeper self-awareness, and a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling.
Approach and training
Meet Karin
Drawing on evidence-based approaches, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, helping you build insight, strengthen practical coping skills, and develop greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges. While therapy can reduce distressing symptoms, it can also deepen self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and help you move forward with greater resilience, purpose, and overall well-being.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Existential Therapy. I have advanced training and significant experience in trauma-focused approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and critical incident debriefing. I am also a practitioner of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).
